Holiday Inspired Pairings
The holidays are perfect to splurge a bit on your favorite drink and bite to eat. Or how about those feasts that we don’t feel guilty about until the morning after that shiny ball drops….
But… it’s the holidays. The perfect time to enjoy putting together the Pinterest board with the best Christmas craft ideas and slow down for a bit. We also thought we could add a little pizzazz to those holiday parties you are busy planning by giving you a couple of our own ideas for delicious holiday pairings.
Orange Chocolate & Pomegranate Gin Punch Cocktail
Orange chocolates are iconic stocking stuffers. Perfectly shaped into a ball with slices that you can peel. We wanted to elevate that nostalgic experience and give it a bit of an adult twist. Taking some queues from the overstated Christmas punches that overwhelm the end of the buffet line, we crafted a pairing you may want to do over again.
Our orange chocolate is subtle, bright, and refreshing. Paired with the fruity and tart pomegranate gin punch, we think that this will be a crowd pleaser for any holiday gathering.
Mint Chocolate and Bourbon Smash
Throw the candy canes away for a minute and enjoy the real flavor of mint. Our mint chocolate is a great seasonal gift, hand-crafted with organic mint and a cashew cream, it puts that freshness of the holidays back. You can forget the sugar flavor that comes from candy canes.
We liked pairing it with a bourbon smash. The pairing of mint and bourbon has always been a winner and what can be better than winding down from a party than by a fire with some bourbon and chocolate.
Coffee Bean Chocolate & Spiced Gin
Take a leap of faith with us on this one. It may seem a little bit out there, but it has become one of our favorite pairings to date. Our team was introduced to spiced gin through a small event and we were amazed by the pop of flavors. We tried it in a few cocktail variations, it kept getting better and better.
We also know that gin isn’t for everyone, but this is one of the few that we would recommend having straight. We took a risk by complementing it with our coffee bean chocolate, but were shocked by the spark of flavor that we got from the gin and chocolate. The flavor was rich and made us immediately think that we were drinking one of our favorite seasonal lattes.
